Annual Dinner

PLEASE NOTE: In view of The Quetico Foundation's "Renewal" initiative, there will be NO Annual Dinner in 2012. The Annual Dinner will re-commence in 2013. For more information, see this letter.

Thanks to everyone who attended our annual Fundraising Dinner on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the Vaughan Estates. Our Guest Speaker this year was Glen Hooper, Ecologist and Photographer, and featured a visual presentation of “40 years of canoe tripping: What I have learned so far....I think.” (click here to read more about Glen and his presentation).

Many of our Annual Dinner attendees were the lucky recipients of a variety of outdoor and art related items generously donated by Foundation supporters, suppliers and program participants to our silent auction. Brittany Manley was the lucky winner of our annual canoe raffle, and took home a Quetico 17’ kevlar canoe, in thanks to Souris River Canoes! Attendees also had the opportunity to learn a little more about the Foundation, our Programs, and some of the activities we have been involved in this past year.

The dinner attendees and supporters, together with our Corporate Sponsors and our Corporate Partners, raised over $20,000 for the important work of The Quetico Foundation and in particular our Summer Student Research Program, the Biology Internship Program, the Ridley Wilderness Youth Program and the Artists in Residence Program.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all of our Sponsors, Partners, silent auction donors, dinner attendees, and individual donors for your generous support of our Annual Dinner and the work of the Foundation! We couldn’t do what we do without your support.

Thank You!
